The North East Kansas Railroaders, Inc. is a vibrant community of train enthusiasts dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of railroading. We strive to foster a deep appreciation for the operations and history of trains through educational programs, community events,and collaborative projects. Our commitment is to inspire and engage individuals of all ages, nurturing alifelong passion for railroads and their vital role in shaping our society

Northeast Kansas Railroaders provides train rides on their small scale trains. The Atchison & Western Little Train Railroad, is a 12” gauge railroad which is operated on the weekends during late spring thru early fall. We are located in Atchison, Kansas at the East end of the Atchison Santa Fe Depot parking lot - 200 South 10th Street. Rides are free. Families may make a free-will donation to help with the continuing upkeep on the trains, tracks, facilities and help with providing education through our HO scale modular train displays at events around Northeast Kansas.

MATCH DAY 2026
